Prosecutors accused Healy of padding his salary and benefits with more than $630,000 in unauthorized payments from late 1989 through April 2012.
He also made 105 illegal wire transfers out of the treasury fund and into his personal accounts from February 2002 through April 2011, totaling more than $900,000, prosecutors said. Additionally, he wired himself $7,547.51 in July 2011 toward a down payment on a luxury car, they said.

As treasurer, Healy was authorized to sign checks and make withdrawals using funds from the TTO’s 13 member school districts, prosecutors said.
The TTO manages more than $280 million for school districts that include La Grange, La Grange Park, Western Springs and Burr Ridge.
Lyons Township District 204 attempted to extract itself from the TTO this spring with the help of a bill from State Rep. Jim Durkin (R-Western Springs), but the legislative session ended without a vote on the matter.
