Road, Bridge Flood During Tuesday Night Thunderstorm

Here are a few items from the La Grange and La Grange Park police blotters.

Flooding was reported to La Grange police between 8:10 and 9:18 p.m. April 19 on the roadway on the 400 block of south Park Road and on the Ogden Avenue bridge during a thunderstorm. The Department of Public Works was notified but water went down on the bridge, police said.

Stolen car found

A gray Pontiac that had been reported stolen in Aurora was found at about 12:42 p.m. April 19, in village lot 12, at Burlington and Bluff avenues, by a Police Department employee checking license plates for residency.

So long, dolly

A dolly used for moving items was stolen out of a garage on the 200 block of south Brainard Avenue, La Grange police learned at about 12:49 p.m. April 19.

Credit cards stolen in business

A Westchester woman told La Grange police at about 7:07 p.m. April 19 that her credit cards were stolen while she was at Corner Bakery, 34 N. LaGrange Road.

Business reports damage

A business on the 0-100 block of north Beach Avenue reported criminal damage to the business at about 9:36 a.m. April 18.

Car key found

A key for a Lexus car that was found in Gilbert Park, 41st Street and Gilbert Avenue, was turned over to La Grange police at about 11:09 a.m. April 18.

Fire Department responds

An 89-year-old woman who fell outside the Robert E. Coulter Jr. Post, American Legion Hall, 900 S. LaGrange Road, was brought by Fire Department ambulance to Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital at about 5:03 p.m. April 18.

La Grange Fire Department responded to the smell of something burning in a home on the 300 block of south Eighth Avenue at about 3:05 p.m. April 19 and a fire call at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 505 S. Park Road, at about 10:28 a.m. April 18.

The fire department provided mutual aid for a fire call on the 9400 block of 55th Street in McCook at about 7:55 p.m. April 19, an oven fire on the 4000 block of Howard in Western Springs at about 11:09 a.m. April 18, and a fire alarm on the 400 block of Homestead Road in a Grange Park at about 1:53 p.m. April 18.
