Blotter: Principal Investigating Report of Kids on School Bus Throwing Things Out Window

The following items are from Patch's reporting of the La Grange police blotter.

The principal of Park Junior High will handle an incident at about 3:09 p.m. Feb. 24 of kids on a school bus throwing things out the window and hitting vehicles on Ogden Avenue, according to La Grange police.

Brookfield police received the report of the school bus going west on Ogden over the bridge and found by La Grange police at Park Junior High. The kids were in the third row back, police said.

Four youths broke “a bunch of” light bulbs in an alley near Sixth Avenue and Burlington Avenue at about 8:23 p.m. Feb. 24 and last were seen running toward the village parking garage, 80 S. Sixth Ave. Police moved the bulbs to the side of the alley.

Credit Cards Misused

Two La Grange residents will be reimbursed by their credit card companies and will suffer no losses for identity theft reported Feb. 23 in which their credit cards were used without their permission, according to a La Grange police investigator.

SUV Just House Hunting

Investigating a report of a white sport-utility vehicle with California license plates circling the 1100 block of Waiola Avenue at about 2:25 p.m. Feb. 26, La Grange police found the driver in the St. Cletus School lot. He said he was picking up his kids and was looking at a house for sale on the block.

Burglary Call Unfounded

A man in a ski mask with a baseball bat and trying to enter a home on the 300 block of south Park was reported at about 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24. The caller had heard his dog barking and thought someone was there. Footprints seen in the area may have been from the mail carrier, police said.

Cat Found Dead

A dead cat was found in the street on Bluff Avenue near 47th Street and removed by La Grange Public Works at about 10:37 a.m. Feb. 25.

Burbank Man Arrested

A 24-year-old Burbank man was arrested for unlawful possession of cannabis and received four tickets during a traffic stop at 47th Street and East Avenue at about 2:29 a.m. Feb. 26. Adam S. Booe was ticketed for driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a stop sign, improper turn and failure to notify the secretary of state of a change of address.
