Police Seek Information About Hit-and-Run Accident

La Grange police are currently investigating a hit and run accident that occurred at about 10:15 p.m. Monday night at Ogden Avenue and Brainard Avenue.

Witnesses at the scene described a dark colored vehicle—possibly an older model Toyota Carolla with driver's side front end damage—flee the scene heading west on Ogden Avenue.

The pedestrian who was hit, Brendan Mortimer, 18, of Brookfield, was treated at the scene and then transported to Loyola Medical Center.

Police said his last known condition was stable and the injuries do not appear life threatening. 

Police said in a press release this morning that Mortimer was likely crossing on the east side of Brainard Avenue at Ogden Avenue when he was struck by the westbound headed vehicle.
