Police Investigate Suspicious, Strange-Smelling Car

Husband brings home stray dog that then twice bites his wife.

La Grange police went to the 300 block of Bluff Avenue at about 1:24 p.m. April 26 after a caller reported two occupied cars in a parking lot and a smell of marijuana. Officers found one car occupied by three males, whose names they took.   

Stray dog bites rescuer’s wife

A La Grange woman reported April 25 that her husband brought home a stray dog Saturday that bit her that day and Sunday. They brought the dog to a Western Springs animal clinic and a bite card was filled out.

Phone returned to owner

A Samsung cell phone that was found at Kensington and Burlington avenues at about 9:07 p.m. April 26 was returned to its owner, La Grange police said.

Two taken to hospital

A man who fell in the driveway on the 5400 block of Country Club Drive was taken to Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital by La Grange Fire Department ambulance at about 4:25 p.m. April 25.   

A 60-year-old La Grange man who fell at the southwest corner of Eighth and Cossitt avenues was taken by La Grange ambulance to Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital at about 10:16 a.m. April 25.

Gas investigation

The La Grange Fire Department provided mutual aid on a gas investigation on the 1500 block of Barnsdale Road in La Grange Park at about 10:37 a.m. April 25.
