Police: Fake Facebook Page Reported, BB Gun Possibly Shot Window

La Grange Police also responded to a man selling large rugs; fireworks heard; reckless driving; a hit and run; and more.

A La Grange woman reported Oct. 31 that a former schoolmate of her 14-year-old daughter created a Facebook page in the girl's name. The woman told La Grange police that her daughter had been having issues with another girl she used to go to school with—the same one who created the Facebook page. Facebook closed the account.

La Grange police learned at about 10:30 a.m. Oct. 31 of a man selling large rugs at Ogden Avenue and LaGrange Road. An officer went to the location and said the man, a 47-year-old Chicago Ridge resident, said he was packing it up and would be on his way.

A woman living in the 300 block of East Franklin Avenue reported about 1:50 p.m. that bb pellets were shot into one of her windows, creating holes.

La Grange police received a report at about 7:49 p.m. Oct. 31 of fireworks being heard near Cossitt Avenue and Stone Avenue, but an officer said nothing was going on.

A large tree branch was reported at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 31 as having fallen on and damaged a vehicle in the 100 block of South Waiola Avenue. The tree was on village property. Village Hall was notified.

A Countryside man reported at about 5:24 p.m. Oct. 31 that his car was damaged while parked at 50th Street and LaGrange Road the previous night. The cause was not listed.

A dark-colored, possibly green minivan was reported at about 6:30 p.m. Oct. 31 as driving erratically, with no headlights, and going through stop signs in the 300 block of South Waiola Avenue. The vehicle was last seen gong north.
