Police Told of Texting Threat

A woman and her friend in front of a building on the 400 block of Leitch Avenue reported they were being followed by a 18-year-old La Grange man they know who was driving a gold Ford Focus. Driver Checks Own Car for Damage, Not Parked Vehicle He Hit

A 49-year-old Clarendon Hills man was ticketed after his 1996 Mazda struck a car parked on the 600 block of south Brainard Avenue at about 5:37 p.m., stopped to check his own car’s damage and continued on, La Grange police said. Richard A. Cahill was ticketed for failure to report an accident to police after a witness gave police the license number of the car in the accident. Cahill told police he was going north, slowed down to look at something in his vehicle and hit the parked car. He said he pulled over on a side street to look at the damage to his car, did not see any and kept going. He did not look at the other vehicle.
