Police Blotter: Minor Caught with Alcohol, Three Bicycles Stolen and Other Items

THURSDAY, JULY 5
Minor Caught Drinking Alcohol
An 18-year-old La Grange man was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor after he was seen on the 400 block of Spring Avenue at about 4:01 a.m. He ran through a back yard and was caught by police at the rear of a home on the 300 block of south Waiola Avenue.
Fireworks Reported
Fireworks were reported going off at about 1:52 a.m. on the 500 block of Eighth Avenue and at about 1:54 a.m. on the 300 block of south La Grange Road.

TUESDSAY, JULY 3
Bicycle Stolen Out of Garage
A bicycle was stolen the previous day out of a garage on the 700 block of Brighton Lane, La Grange police learned.

Noisy Adults in Sawyer Park After Hours
A group of loud adults who were in Sawyer Park, Sawyer Avenue south of Calendar Avenue, at about 11:58 p.m. were told the park was closed and sent on their way.
‘Reckless Driver’ Can’t Be Found
La Grange police said they could not find a Pontiac G6 reported driving recklessly north on La Grange Road from Plainfield Road at about 8:43 a.m.
Graffiti Found on Garage
Graffiti was found at about 2:03 p.m. on a garage on the 500 block of Seventh Avenue. The home owner will arrange to have the graffiti removed.
MONDAY, JULY 2
Bicycle Stolen at La Grange Road Train Depot
A men’s gray, 26-inch Specialized bicycle worth $700 was discovered at about 6:13 p.m. to have been stolen at the La Grange Road train station, 25 W. Burlington Ave.
Fireworks Reported
Fireworks were reported being set off at about 8:16 p.m. at Sedgwick Park, 49th Street and 10th Avenue, and at about 9:10 p.m. on the 0-100 block of Washington Avenue.
Bike Stolen
A men’s blue, 26-inch, 21-speed Raleigh bicycle was reported as having been stolen the previous day at the Hot Dog Company, 76 S. La Grange Road.
Lifeguard Passes Out
A 16-year-old girl who is a lifeguard at the pool of the La Grange Field Club, 1300 W. 47th St., refused transportation to the hospital at about 11:40 a.m. after she passed out.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 27
La Grange Park Man Gets 2 Tickets
Adrian Aguilar, 24, of La Grange Park was ticketed for expired registration and driving while his license is suspended after a La Grange Park police officer stopped his tan Suzuki at 31st Street and La Grange Road at about 7:04 p.m. for having an expired license plate sticker.
