Pop Machine Tipped Over at Park

A pop machine next to the activity building at Sedgwick Park, 10th Avenue and 49th Street, was reported tipped over at about 6:47 p.m. Park District of La Grange officials said they were aware of the incident.

Reckless Driver Reported on La Grange Road

A woman in a black Altima was reported putting on makeup and driving recklessly while southbound on La Grange Road from Homestead Avenue at about 6:58 p.m.

Driver Speeding, Blowing Through Red Lights

A dark-colored car was going west on 47th Street at a high speed and blowing through red lights, according to a caller at about 9:37 p.m. The car may have turned onto Brainard Avenue or Willow Springs Road, but police could not find it.

Men’s Bike Stolen in Driveway

A men’s burgundy Trek bicycle was stolen out of a driveway on the 200 block of south Peck Avenue, police were told at about 12:45 p.m.

Kids Noisy in Parking Garage

Kids who were driving fast in the parking garage, 80 S. Sixth Ave., and were hanging off a ledge on the top level were sent on their way by police at about 10:45 p.m.

SATURDAY, JULY 28

Man Arrested for Taking Money Off Restaurant Table

Collin Rajcevich, 22, of the 3600 block of Raymond Avenue in Brookfield, was charged with misdemeanor theft after La Grange police said he took money off the table of a restaurant on the 0-100 block of south La Grange Road. A patrol car picked him up a few blocks away based on witnesses’ description.

Woman Leaves Restaurant Without Paying Bill

A woman walked out at about 8:57 p.m. of a restaurant on the 0-100 block of west Harris Avenue leaving a Visa gift card that had no value to it, police were told. Her bill was $26.60. She was described as about 5-foot-8, medium build, in her 40s and wearing a black apron.

Teens Throw Beer Case Out of Car

A tan, midsize vehicle with four teens inside was driving on the 400 block of Seventh Avenue at about 6:02 p.m. when they threw a case out of beer out the window and went west on Goodman Avenue. Ten beers still were inside the case.

Classmates May Have Vandalized Car in Parking Garage

A 17-year-old Burr Ridge boy reported his car has been vandalized several times over the past few months  while in the parking garage, 80 S. Sixth Ave., including that day. He believes classmates have been urinating on the vehicle.
