FRIDAY, JUNE 29

No, You Can’t Keep a Baby Squirrel as a Pet

La Grange police were called to 49th Street and Seventh Avenue at about 3:58 p.m. on a report that some kids had found some baby squirrels. The officer told the youths and parents to keep away and the squirrels’ mom would take care of them.

Worker Passes Out at McDonald's

A 27-year-old woman who works at McDonald's, 100 N. La Grange Rd., was taken by ambulance to Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital at about 12:04 p.m. after she had passed out.

THURSDAY, JUNE 28

Person Trapped in Library Elevator

The La Grange Fire Department rescued someone at about 8:01 p.m. who had been trapped in the elevator at the La Grange Public Library, 10 W. Cossitt Ave.

Yard Lights Damaged

Landscaping lights in the back yard of a home on the 600 block of Eighth Avenue were reported damaged at about 11:40 a.m.

THURSDAY, JUNE 21

Sorry About the Crash, Honey

A woman, 34, and a man, 30, with the same last name and living at the same address in Willowbrook were involved in a crash involving their own cars in a private lot at 125 N. Kensington Ave. at about 4:57 p.m. The woman parked facing north on the west side of the lot and the man parked facing north on the east side of the lot. He told police he thought he put the car in park, but it rolled into the other car. Police did not specify whether the two were husband and wife, or brother and sister.
