Pickup Truck Follows Woman From Lyons to La Grange

La Grange resident finds 'black stuff' in keyhole, worried of burglary attempt.

An Elmhurst woman told La Grange police at about 3:04 p.m. April 27 that her car was followed by a black Dodge pickup truck from Forest Lanes in Lyons to the Park District of La Grange recreation center, 536 East Ave. The driver was in his mid- 30s and was wearing a yellow baseball cap, she said. The woman will call police if she sees the vehicle again.

Burglary attempt suspected

A woman living on the 400 block of Burlington Avenue reported she found some “black stuff” in the keyhole of the door to her home at about 6:21 p.m. April 27 and she is worried someone tried to break in. No pry marks were found on the door, police said.

Boy may have broken his leg

A 17-year-old boy was taken to Hinsdale Hospital by La Grange Fire Department ambulance at about 7:09 p.m. April 28 after he possibly broke his leg in the fieldhouse at Lyons Township High School north campus, 100 S. Brainard Ave.

Car fire reported

The La Grange Fire Department responded to a call of a fire in a car of a woman living on the 500 block of south LaGrange Road at about 6:58 a.m. April 27.

Firefighters provide aid

The La Grange Fire Department provided mutual aid for a fire alarm at about 4:55 p.m. April 28 at Nazareth Academy, 1209 S. Ogden Ave. in La Grange Park., and a fire call in the 0-100 block of Spinning Wheel in Hinsdale at about 4:50 p.m. April 27.
