Pickpocket Snags Wallet at Jewel, License Violations: Police Blotter

Thursday, April 25

Suspended licenses

Arturo S. Mejia, 32, of the 300 block of Beach Avenue in La Grange Park, was arrested around 11:53 p.m. in the 1600 block of 31st Street, La Grange Park police said. He was charged with driving with a suspended license, no proof of insurance and speeding.

Rogelio Villegas, 32, of the 3100 block of Edgewood Parkway in Woodridge, was arrested around 12:09 a.m. in the 600 block of La Grange Road, police said. He was charged with driving with a suspended license, without insurance and with only one taillight.

Wednesday, April 24

Wallet stolen at Jewel

A wallet was stolen from an unattended purse at Jewel, 507 E. Woodlawn, police said. The wallet and its contents were worth less than $500.

Suspended license

Michael R. Nosek, 41, of the 00 block of West Hillgrove in La Grange, was arrested around 9:29 a.m. in the 1500 block of North La Grange Road, police said. He was charged with driving with a suspended license, no proof of insurance and expired registration.

No valid license

Jose Miguel, 18, of the 3900 block of West 59th Street in Chicago, was arrested around 12:16 a.m. in the 1000 block of 31st Street, police said. He was charged with driving without a valid license, no insurance and expired plates.

Monday, April 22

No valid license

Maria Garcia, 30, of the 4200 block of North Central in Chicago, was arrested around 10:46 a.m. in the 900 block of La Grange Road, police said. She was charged with driving without a valid license and speeding.
