Saturday, April 13

House egged on South 8th

A house was egged around 9:24 p.m. in the 900 block of South 8th Avenue, police said.

Stolen wallet

A wallet was stolen around 11:54 a.m. from Caribou Coffee, 34 N. La Grange Rd., police said.

Packages stolen

A woman made a delayed report around 1:02 p.m. about packages that were stolen from in front of her home in the 400 block of East Maple Avenue, police said. Officers advised her to have packages signed for in the future.

Fight at Brixie’s

La Grange police helped Brookfield police respond to a fight at Brixie’s around 3:09 a.m., reportedly involving six to seven “outlaw bikers inside and outside,” police said. Assistance was given without incident.

Fraudulent credit card charges

A man who lost his wallet somewhere between a fast-food drive thru and his office reported fraudulent charges on his credit card, police said. He had canceled the credit cards when he noticed his wallet was missing.

Thursday, April 11

Catalytic converter thefts

A catalytic converter was stolen from a car in Lot 14, as well as one in the 00 block of North Gilbert Avenue, police said.

Dog bites person

A dog bit a Chicago woman’s son Thursday morning, police said. The woman said the owner, who lives in the 900 block of South 7th Avenue, is being cooperative, but she said she would like a report of the bite.

Drunken man makes threats

A man was reportedly threatening a woman near the intersection of Hillgrove and La Grange, police said. Both were intoxicated. Officers separated them and sent them on their way.

Hit-and-run

A red Kia sideswiped a car near the intersection of Ogden and Kensington around 8:20 a.m., police said. Officers got in touch with the owner of the Kia, who apologized and said she had been cut off. The complainant was satisfied with that response.

Wednesday, April 10

Hit-and-run

A hit-and-run was reported in the Walgreens parking lot around 4:22 p.m., police said.

No driver’s license

Jose Linares, 47, of the 00 block of West Jackson in La Grange Park, was arrested around 8:53 a.m. near the intersection of Ashland and Brewster, police said. He was charged with driving without a license
