One Hurt in Collision at 47th and Stone

Tickets issued to four, crash among La Grange police blotter items.

An 82-year-old Indian Head Park woman, Mary Sherry, was brought to Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital with a possible neck injury after her car collided with another vehicle at 47th Street and Stone Avenue at about 10:15 a.m. April 20.

Sherry was northbound on Stone in a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu when it collided in the intersection with a 2001 Toyota Sierra driven by a 44-year-old La Grange woman who was eastbound on 47th Street in the center lane, La Grange police said. The La Grange woman had the right-of-way, police said.

No injuries in crash

No one was reported injured when a Ford Fusion and Toyota Camry collided at Spring and Ogden avenues at about 3:2 p.m. April 19.

Driver wanted on warrant

A 25-year-old Chicago man, Luis P. Nova, was found wanted on a Will County warrant on a charge of driving while his license was suspended during a La Grange police traffic stop at 55th Street and LaGrange Road at about 12:35 a.m. April 19.

Four get tickets in La Grange

Rafael Silva-Marquez, 31, of Chicago was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions, driving with a suspended or revoked license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle when La Grange police stopped his car at Ogden and Madison avenues at about 8:14 a.m. April 19.

Uriel Alejandro Segovia, 20, of Chicago was ticketed by La Grange police for no driver’s license and one other unidentified traffic violation when stopped at 47th Street and Sixth Avenue at about 9:09 p.m. April 18.

A 21-year-old Lyons woman, Jacqueline M. Marvin, was ticketed by La Grange police for failure to reduce her speed to avoid an accident and no valid driver’s license at LaGrange Road and Harris Avenue at about 1:25 p.m. April 18. No other information was available on police shift reports.

Byron Chiquival, 36, of Chicago was ticketed for improper lane usage, no valid driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at 47th Street and Seventh Avenue at about 8:35 a.m. April 18.
