Police Find Poultry Carcass Wrapped in Ribbon


An Elmhurst police officer saw a person climb a small hill at the southwest corner of Grand Avenue and Lake Street at about 5:20 p.m. Jan. 12. The officer said he thought this was suspicious because he didn't see a vehicle nearby, and it is an odd place to be on foot. By the time the officer got to the hill to check things out, the person was gone, but there were fresh footprints in the snow. At the top of the hill was "unidentifiable kind of poultry carcass" wrapped in ribbon on butcher's paper, police said.

Deputies to Gunman: Don’t Shoot the Icicles …


A Jan. 10 report of gunfire in rural St. Charles drew the attention of Kane County sheriff’s deputies, who warned an elderly gunman he had to stop shooting at icicles on his home. A neighbor called the Sheriff’s Office after she saw the man firing a .22-caliber handgun out of his bathroom window.

12 Days of Christmas, 1 Golden Ring Stolen


No mention of French hens or turtle doves, but one golden ring was stolen just in time for Christmas. The $510 ring was purchased on eBay and allegedly delivered to the front stoop of a home. Only, surprise, it never got there.


LEMONT

Naked Man Seen Fondling Himself in Driver's Seat: Police


Lemont police are looking for a man who was seen naked, masturbating while in the driver's seat of his car Monday morning. A man circled a Lemont block, rolled down the passenger side window exposing himself masturbating to a woman nearby. The man continued for close to a minute, before driving away.


OAK PARK

Man Steals Frozen Dinner, Beer


Someone stole a frozen dinner and a six-pack of beer from Pan's Foods on Oak Park Avenue around 8:40 a.m. Jan. 11.


LA GRANGE

Dog in Christmas Sweater Found in Street


A woman found a small black dog wearing a Christmas sweater in the 200 block of South 9th Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Jan. 12. The dog was taken to the Hinsdale Humane Society.


Beer Cans Thrown in Yard


A woman in the 200 block of North Catherine Avenue on Jan. 11 reported people threw empty beer cans on her property, including a garbage bag full of them on her roof the previous night. She also told police that a few months ago, there were kids in her yard being loud and vomiting, but she didn’t call to report it.
