Officers Ticket Two Drivers for Defective Lights
Here are La Grange Park police blotter items.
La Grange Park police issued additional tickets to two drivers who were stopped by officers for having car lights that were not working.
An officer stopped a 2006 black GMC Envoy with a defective headlight that was going north at about 1:46 a.m. Nov. 28 in the 1000 block of North LaGrange Road. Victor Aguilar, 30, of 2424 N. Major Ave. in Chicago was ticketed for having one headlight and driving while his license is expired. He told police he was driving on a ticket but could not find it; police said they checked and found his license has been expired since Nov. 29, 2001. He also claimed the name and birthdate on the state identification card he showed police was wrong, but his fingerprints matched the correct birthdate and name, not Aguliar, as he claimed.
A 60-year-old Broadview woman received four tickets after a police officer stopped her 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser in the 700 block of east 31st Street at about 5:01 p.m. Nov. 23 for the tail lights not being lit. The officer said that when her car stopped, the brake lights also did not go on. Nancy A. Struck, 2813 S. 13th Ave. was ticketed for no tail lights, no brake lights, no proof of insurance, and driving while her license is suspended. Her car was towed.
