Burglary Reported on Scottdale

Someone forced open the front door of a home in the 0-100 block of Scottdale Road and stole a TV, two laptops and jewelry between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Vandalism

Someone damaged a window at a home in the 600 block of Brainard Avenue between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. 

Suspended License Arrest 

Police charged Yolanda De La Mora, 44, of Countryside, with driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance and a seatbelt violation during a traffic stop in the 1400 block of La Grange Road about 6:15 p.m. She was given a Dec. 11 court date and released on bond. 

Thursday, November 21

Suspended License

Police charged Saul Moreno, 38, of Lyons, with driving on a suspended license during a traffic stop at the intersection of La Grange Road and Woodlawn Avenue about 4:45 p.m. Police said his license was suspended because he owed child support. He was given a Dec. 18 court date and released on bond.

He was also charged with driving with expired registration and no valid insurance. He was given a Dec. 30 court date and released on bond.

Wednesday, November 20

Invalid License, No Insurance 

Police charged Noe Celedon, 23, of Berwyn, with driving without a valid license or insurance, improper display of registration and failure to transfer title during a traffic stop near the intersection of La Grange Road and Scottdale Avenue about 2 a.m. He was given a Dec. 30 court date and released on bond.

Monday, November 18

Man Gives False Name in Attempt to Avoid Drug Warrant Arrest

Police charged Jonathan Sotelo, 19, of Addison, with driving without a valid license, no proof of insurance and disobeying a traffic stop near the intersection of 29th and Kemman avenues about 9:30 a.m. He was given a Dec. 30 court date and released on bond.

Police learned later that day that Sotelo, who initially said his last name was Solano, had given a false name. He was then charged with obstructing identification. He told police he was nervous about a warrant that had been issued for marijuana possession. He was processed on the charges, including the marijuana possession warrant, and released on bond. His court dates are Dec. 10 and Dec. 30, police said.
