Minor Arrested, iPhone Lost, Homeless Man Hospitalized
La Grange police also responded to a report of missing jewelry, live wires down and leaves on fire.
A 17-year-old Brookfield boy was arrested by La Grange police at Elm Avenue and Stone Avenue under a village ordinance prohibiting possession of tobacco by a minor. An officer went to the location at 7:38 a.m. Oct. 28 on a report of kids smoking.
A woman living in the 400 block of South Gilbert Avenue told La Grange police at 6:36 p.m. Oct. 27 that a "bunch" of jewelry was taken from her home and has been missing for three or four days. There was no forced entry to the home.
A La Grange woman reported she lost her cell phone at about 9:20 a.m. Oct. 28 nearby 93 S. LaGrange Rd. The Apple iPhone was worth $268.

A 50-year-old homeless man was brought to Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital after he was found intoxicated and passed out at Madison Avenue and Hillgrove Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27. An amblance crew said he was not responsive.
ComEd was notified after live wires were down and on fire at 3:17 p.m. Oct. 27 in the 300 block of Blackstone Avenue. Wires also were down at 4:28 p.m. that day in the alley behind a house in the 300 block of east Franklin Avenue. And, a cellular phone call to 9-1-1 notified police of leaves on fire at 4:50 p.m. Oct. 27 at 47th Street and Sixth Avenue.
