Man with Bat Yells Obscenities: La Grange Park Police Blotter

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 3

Suspended License, Registration

Marlene M. Gomez, 31, of the 1400 block of Homestead, La Grange Park, was stopped at the corner of Newberry Avenue and 30th Street at 4:18 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license and registration, as well as for driving without insurance, police said.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 30

Erratic Driving, No License

Alejandro Rodriguez-Macias, 32, of the 600 block of North Meadows Boulevard, Addison, was stopped at 6:44 a.m. on the 500 block of La Grange Road for erratic driving and was charged with driving without a license or proof of insurance, police said.

Foul Mouth + Baseball Bat = Disorderly

Erik K. Lirette, 30, of the 1100 block of Kemman Avenue, La Grange Park, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct at 2:51 a.m. on the 800 block of 31st Street, police said. According to a police report, the defendant was walking along 31st Street holding a wooden baseball bat and loudly screaming obscenities, and had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. The defendant later apologized, saying he was upset over family issues and intended no harm with the bat.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 29

Expired License is No License

Angel Alamilla, 42, of the 3900 block of West 55th Street, Chicago, was stopped on the 1100 block of Homestead Road at 12:17 a.m. for having an expired registration and was charged with driving with a license expired for over a year, police said.

Pot Found in Car After Accident

Paul R. Russell Jr., 22, of the 3500 block of Morton Avenue, Brookfield, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of various drug paraphernalia after police responded to a property damage motor vehicle accident on the 1100 block of Cleveland Avenue at 1:07 a.m.and noticed a glass pipe. Further search uncovered additional paraphernalia and marijuana, police said. According to a police report, the defendant confessed to purchasing marijuana from a parking lot of a Chicago hospital.
