House eggings

A house was egged around 11 p.m. in the 800 block of Bell Avenue, police said. The eggs didn’t cause permanent damage. Another house was egged around 11:20 p.m. in the 00 block of Drexel, police said. The extent of the damage was not known.

Wallet stolen

A pink Vera Bradley wallet containing gift cards, $5 cash and a permit was taken from a purse at Grapevine, 9 W. Hillgrove Ave., police said. The wallet and its contents were worth less than $500.

Graffiti in parking garage

Gang graffiti was found in the second floor lobby of the downtown parking garage, 80 S. 6th Ave., police said.

Man hiding in bushes “just reading his Bible”

A man wearing a hoodie and carrying a notepad was reportedly hiding in the bushes by First United Methodist Church, 100 S. Catherine Ave., police said. Officers spoke to the man, who said he was just reading his Bible, and sent him on his way.

Stolen iPad Mini

An iPad Mini was stolen Monday from the cafeteria at Grayhill, 561 W. Hillgrove, police said. The 32GB iPad, worth more than $500, was black with a purple case. The theft was reported on Friday.

Underage drinking

One juvenile was cited for possession of alcohol after a group of teens was found drinking on top of the parking garage around 8:08 p.m., police said.
