La Grange Police Respond to 2 Reports of Loud Noise in Early Morning

Here is a list of items from the La Grange police blotter.

La Grange police responded to a call of loud music from an open garage on the 900 block of Sixth Avenue at about 4:21 a.m. June 24. The resident agreed to turn down the music.

Police also responded at about 1:56 a.m. that same morning to a call of teens making noise in the street on the 100 block of north Edgewood Lane. Police found and warned a 19-year-old man and woman in the 0-100 block of Edgewood and said other teens took off running. Two men and two women, all 19, were found and warned.

Possibly blind dog found

A small white dog, possibly a Chihuahua  and possibly blind, was found running in the middle of the street on the 100 block of Park Road at about 11:50 p.m. June 22. The dog was turned over to the Hinsdale Humane Society.

Baby on the loose

A baby in diapers was reported to be running around by itself on the northwest corner of Cossitt and Washington avenues at about 2:06 p.m. June 22. Police could not locate the child.

Possible theft

A blue Lincoln or Ford was seen at Maple and Bluff avenues at about 4:12 p.m. June 22 with a male putting items inside the vehicle possibly taken off railroad property, police said. A woman was in the driver’s seat. The car was gone when police arrived.

Purse missing

A La Grange woman living on the 400 block of Seventh Avenue reported June 22 that her purse was missing and last was seen in her car 11 days ago. She thinks someone may have burglarized her car.

Stranger on porch

A resident of the 1100 block of Arlington Avenue reported a strange man on the porch at about 1:52 p.m. June 23 yelling and screaming. Police found the 61-year-old man and brought him to Harlem and Ogden avenues in Berwyn.

Son “out of control”

Police responded to a La Grange home at about 5:49 p.m. June 23 where a mother said her 17-year-old son was out of control and she would like a police officer to talk to him. The mother said she found her son’s marijuana and flushed it down the toilet. She also found $300 in cash.  When the son came home and realized his items were missing, he started yelling at his mother and flipped a chair.  Both parties calmed down, began talking and will come to an agreement, police said.
