La Grange Police Chief Awarded for Service

La Grange Chief of Police Michael Holub is the recipient of the Illinois Bar Association's Law Enforcement Award for distinguished service.

Michael Holub, chief of police in La Grange, is the recipient of an Illinois Bar Association award for distinguished service.

The award was announced by the West Suburban Chiefs of Police Association on May 2. The award will be presented to Holub on May 14 at the La Grange Village Board meeting by Dave Anderson, associate executive director of the Illinois Bar Association. Holub was recommended for the award by Judge Russ Hartigan.

Chief Holub is a past president of the West Suburban Chiefs of Police Association and currently serves on its board.

The award is given each year to a sworn officer who promotes justice and whose public service brings honor to the entire criminal justice system, according to the Illinois Bar Association.
