Man Kicked in Groin in Road Rage Fight

Monday, October 7

Powdered Car

A woman in the 0-100 block of North La Grange Road reported someone put a white powdery substance on her car around 4 p.m. There was no permanent damage to the vehicle, police said.

Warrant: Contempt of Court

Police charged Donald Barr, 51, of the 500 block of South La Grange Road in La Grange with a warrant out of Kane County for contempt of court. He was arrested about 6:10 p.m. near the intersection of 47th and Blackstone avenues, given a Dec. 9 court date and released on bond.

Cell Phones Stolen From Radio Shack

Someone stole more than $500 in cell phones from Radio Shack, 535 S. La Grange Rd. The manager reported it was an “internal theft” about 5:15 p.m., police said.

Traffic-Related Charge

Stella Toczer, 29, of Bridgeview, was cited for disobeying a stop sign after an accident near the intersection of Maple and Madison avenues about 7:30 a.m. Police said Toczer, who drove a 2011 Mazda CX-7, ran a stop sign while driving north on Madison and struck a 2002 Chevy , driven by a 49-year-old Bridgeview man.

Illegal Turn Citation 

Jordan Krugel, 83, of Northbrook, was cited for making an illegal turn after an accident near the intersection of Burlington Avenue and Route 34 about 9:25 p.m. Police said Krugel, who drove a 2008 Lexus GS 350, made an illegal left turn onto Route 34, striking the front of a 2006 Mitsubishi driven by a 54-year-old Stickney man.

Possible Break-ins Reported 

A man in the 0-100 block of South Ashland Avenue reported someone kept going into his room about 8:50 a.m. He told police he left his room and locked the door twice during the day and returned both times to see the door was open. Nothing was reported stolen.

Man Requests Watch for Teens Reportedly Drinking on Deck

A man who’s been out of town on business requested extra watch at his home in the 400 block of Benton Avenue after a neighbor told him teens had been drinking and possibly smoking pot on his deck. 

Friday, October 4

Man Kicked in Groin in Road Rage Fight

A man reported he was kicked in the groin during an apparent road rage fight at the intersection of 47th and 9th about 5:50 p.m. Police said the complainant got into it with another driver after he was cut off at 47th and 10th.

Restricted License Arrest 

Police charged Juan Menes, 41, of Cicero, with driving on a restricted license during a stop near the intersection of Madison and Brewster avenues about 8:30 a.m. He was given a Nov. 13 court date and released.

Suspended License Arrest 

Police charged Michael Ivy, 31, of Maywood, with driving on a suspended/revoked license during a stop on the Ogden Avenue bridge about 9:30 a.m. He was given a Nov. 20 court date and released.

Teens Reported for TP-ing House on 12th 

A resident in the 700 block of 12th Street reported a group of teens who were TP-ing the house and being loud about 10:45 p.m.

Thursday, October 3

Construction Altercation at 7th, Maple 

Police responded to a call about a loud argument between two construction workers at the intersection of 7th and Maple avenues about 7:50 a.m. One of the workers, a supervisor of the site, told police he had just fired a worker who was refusing to leave. Police said the worker left with the keys to the site.
