Chicago police make arrest in 2010 La Grange Park robbery case.

A 26-year-old Chicago man has been charged in connection with a robbery reported on Nov. 22, 2010.

John L. Dotson, whose last known address was 167 N. Lamon in Chicago, was arrested on a La Grange Park warrant by the Chicago Police Department on April 27, 2012.

According to police reports, Dotson was linked to the robbery after hairs recovered from a hat he dropped at the scene were matched to him through a DNA analysis conducted by the Illinois State Police Crime Laboratory.

During the early afternoon robbery, approximately $6,000 in cash was taken from the victim as they were making a deposit at the Fifth Third Bank, 535 Sherwood Rd. in La Grange Park.

Dotson is being held in Cook County Jail on $150,000 bond. No court date has yet been set.
