La Grange Man Charged Following Comments Made to Bank Teller

James M. Borlick, 44, is facing a disorderly conduct charge for allegedly saying, "I'd like to rob you, but I can't.", to a bank teller at PNC Bank in La Grange Park.

A La Grange man was arrested and charged by La Grange Park police following comments he allegedly made to a bank teller at PNC Bank, 1215 E. 31st St., La Grange Park, on June 12.

James M. Borlick, 44, of the 1100 block of Maple Avenue in La Grange, was charged with disorderly conduct after he was located by La Grange Park police around 1:30 p.m.

Police were contacted after Borlick reportedly told the bank teller, "I'd like to rob you, but I can't."

Borlick entered the bank at around 11:30 a.m., and was recognized by police on the bank's surveillance tapes.

Borlick was released the same day and faces a June 27 court date in Maywood at 1:30 p.m. If convicted, Borlick could face a maximum fine of $1,500 and/or 30 days in jail.
