Kids Find Stolen Gun in School Playground
Children playing at the playground found the gun, which was traced to Rockford, police said.
Several kids found a 9 mm handgun at the Seventh Avenue School playground around 2:47 p.m. July 18, police said.
A 14-year-old boy called police to report the gun, which had been reported stolen in Rockford, according to a database.
Police don't have any information as to how the gun got to La Grange.
