Missing wallet

A wallet was lost or stolen around 3:12 p.m. from Casa Margarita, 32 S. La Grange Rd., police said.

Contents from stolen purse found

A resident called around 11:47 a.m. to report the contents of a purse had been scattered on her front yard, police said. The items were connected to a purse that was stolen Friday from the Tavern on La Grange and returned to their owner, police said.

Illegal dumping

Evan T. Booth, 19, of the 400 block of Sunset in La Grange, was cited around 1:31 p.m. in the public garage at 80 S. 6th Ave., police said. Booth, along with a few other people, were illegally dumping trash at the garage, police said.

Saturday, March 9

Snowball throwing teens

Four teens were throwing snowballs at cars around 11:10 p.m. in the 500 block of Hillgrove Avenue, police said. The teens were sent away.

Homeless man makes death threats, throws beer cans

A woman reported that a homeless man with a goatee was throwing beer cans and threatening to kill her around 3:31 p.m. near the intersection of Hillgrove and La Grange, police said. The woman declined to press charges and just wanted police to talk to the man. Officers issued the man a warning.

Stolen iPhone

An iPhone was stolen from a gym bag around 5 p.m. in the 500 block of East Avenue, police said. The phone was worth less than $500.

Kids throwing snowballs

A group of kids were throwing snowballs at car around 9:55 p.m. near the intersection of Ashland and Elm, police said.

Wednesday, March 6

Driving without a license

Rafal Krzysztof Celej, 37, of the 5000 block of Long Avenue in Chicago, was arrested around 5:32 p.m near the intersection of Calendar and Washington, police said. He was cited with driving without a license.

iPhone fraud

A resident in the 00 block of South La Grange Road told police he purchased a white iPhone from a man who claimed to live in La Grange. When the resident called Verizon to activate the phone, the company told him it was a fraud. Officers have a suspect.

No popcorn for dog

Officers were called to the intersection of Ashland and Elm around 12:48 p.m. for a report of a man feeding a resident’s dog popcorn. The man denied offering popcorn to any dogs and was sent on his way.
