Former Park District of La Grange Employee Charged in Rec Center Theft
Oak Park man worked at the PDLG rec center as a custodian for less than 30 days before being let go.
An Oak Park man who is a former employee of the was arrested March 25 in connection with the from a secured area in the Park District's recreation center, 536 East Ave.
Adrian C. Sanchez, of 1043 Highland Ave., was charged with theft, criminal trespass to property and reckless conduct. His bond was $1,000 and he faces an April 19 court date in the 5th Municipal District courthouse in Bridgeview.
Sanchez was a custodian and worked for the Park District for less than 30 days, said Dean Bissias, PDLG executive director. Sanchez was released, “a week or so ago,” Bissias said on March 28. A camera, radio and other items were taken out of a locked area at the recreation center, he said.

On March 21, PDLG officials reported a theft to La Grange police at about 12:48 p.m. At that time, the officials tentatively told police the loss was more than $300. Some of the property has since been recovered, said La Grange police investigator Patrick Fulla on March 28.
