LT Reports Facebook Threat

A 15-year-old female juvenile from Hodgkins was charged with disorderly conduct at 11 a.m. after a Western Springs police investigation confirmed she published a post on her Facebook page in which she threatened to damage Lyons Township's south campus, alarming school officials that reported the post, police said.

The statement did not pose an "imminent or credible danger" to anyone, police said. The juvenile was released to a parent and referred to juvenile court.

"Our investigation confirmed the juvenile had no intention on causing damage to any part of the school at any time," deputy chief Brian Budds said in an email.
