Elusive Man Scales Building, Jumps on Three Roofs
Here's an item from the La Grange police blotter.
La Grange police received a report at about 8:30 p.m. Aug. 12 of a man who had a ladder propped up outside Horton's Ace Hardware, 60 S. La Grange Rd.
The man jumped from the Horton's roof onto the roof of Palmer Place, 56 S. La Grange Rd., and then to the top of an apartment building to the north. Officers checked the roof but said they could not find anyone.
Police said the man possibly may have been an employee of the La Grange Theatre, 80 S. La Grange Rd., which is across the Horton's parking lot.
