DUI: Man Going 74 in 30 MPH Zone Had 'Maybe 4 Beers'

La Grange Park police reports from Sept. 8-23 include suspended license and speeding arrests.

Monday, September 23

Speeding, Invalid License Arrest 

Police charged Celedonio Chaga, 40, of Chicago, with speeding and driving without a valid license about 6:40 p.m. in the 300 block of La Grange Road. Police said Chaga was going 46 in a 30 mph zone. He was given an Oct. 23 court date and released on bond.

DUI 

Police charged Anthony Vroutsis, 51, of Glendale Heights, with driving under the influence of alcohol and going 74 in a 30 mph zone about 2 a.m. near the intersection of La Grange Road and 31st Street. 

Vroutsis told police he had “maybe four” beers that night and that he was on his way home to Glendale Heights. He was given an Oct. 23 court date and released on bond.

Monday, September 16

Suspended License Arrest 

Police charged Elizabeth Wildhaber, 29, of Chicago, with driving on a suspended license about 3 a.m. in the 1100 block of La Grange Road. She was given an Oct. 23 court date and released on bond.  

Tuesday, September 11

Suspended License Arrest 

Police charged Anthony Randle, 25, of Chicago, with driving on a suspended license, without insurance and without a plate light about 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of 29th and Kemman. He was given an Oct. 23 court date and released on bond. 

Saturday, September 8

Suspended License Arrest

Police charged Blanca Basilio, 25, of Berwyn, with driving on a suspended license, without a registration light and failure to dim lights about 12:45 a.m. in the 1000 block of La Grange Road. Police stopped Basilio, who was driving with her high beams on within 500 feet of the police car. She was given a Sept. 25 court date and released on bond.
