Saturday, June 29

No Valid License

Police charged Roberto Moreno, 25, of Berwyn with driving without a valid driver’s license and speeding around 9:20 a.m. in the 200 block of East 31st Street. Moreno was given an Aug. 14 court date and released after posting bond.

iPad Stolen

Someone stole an iPad from an unlocked car in the 600 block of La Grange Road between 2 and 9:30 a.m.

Driving While License Suspended

Police charged Kelvyn Johnson, Jr., 30, of Chicago with driving on a suspended license and failing to signal around 5:20 p.m. near the intersection of La Grange Road and Scottdale Avenue. He was given an Aug. 14 court date and released. 

Tuesday, June 25

No Valid License

Police charged Mary Elizabeth Zanneli, 33, of Brookfield with driving without a valid license and without valid registration around 9:15 a.m. near the intersection of 31st Street and Kemman Avenue. She was given a July 24 court date and released.

Thursday, June 20

No Valid License 

Police charged Alvin Pearson, 52, of Chicago with driving without a valid license, expired registration and no insurance around 5:20 a.m. in the 500 block of La Grange Road. He was given an Aug. 28 court date and released after posting bond.

Tuesday, June 18

Man Admits to Driving Drunk on Way to Casino

Police charged Michael Pierce, 28, of Riverside with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, driving without a license or insurance and improper lane use around 12:30 a.m. in the 500 block of East 31st Street.

According to the police report, Pierce, who smelled of booze and slurred his words, told police, “I’m not going to lie, I’m intoxicated,” and that he was headed to the casino from his buddy’s house. 

Police said Pierce started humming while officers read him the warning to motorist and laughed when he was asked if he wanted to submit a blood test. 

He was given a July 10 court date and released. As he left, he told officers he should have urinated in their cell, police said.
