'Just Arrest Me,' Beef Sandwich-Covered Driver Tells Police

Police charged Leo Ortiz, 29, of Riverside with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use and disobeying a stop sign around 3:15 a.m. 

Police stopped Ortiz, who was swerving on Homestead and ran a stop sign at the intersection of Homestead Avenue and 26th Street, police said.

Ortiz, who had a beef sandwich all over the front of his shirt and in the front seat of his car, told police, “Just arrest me… I know you are going to arrest me, so just do it,” police said.

He was given an Aug. 14 court date and released on bond.

Graffiti Found at School

Police found graffiti on a wall near a storage container and maintenance area around 2 a.m. at Forest Road School.
