Drunk Driver Reported Leaving Hospital Emergency Room

La Grange police seek reckless Mustang driver, and more, in today's blotter.

An intoxicated patient who drove away from the emergency room of Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital, 5101 S. Willow Springs Road, was reported to La Grange police at about 9:19 a.m. April 6. The patient was driving a red vehicle towing a white trailer and might be going north on Willow Springs Road. Police could not locate the vehicle.

Reckless Mustang driver sought

A black Ford Mustang with a white stripe was seen at about 3:39 p.m. April 6 driving south on Brainard Avenue from 47th Street and going up on the curb a couple times. La Grange police said they could not locate the car.

Car with cracked windshield stopped

A Chicago man received two tickets after a La Grange Park police officer saw a crack in his windshield from bottom to middle while monitoring traffic on Kemman Avenue at 29th Street at about 4:08 p.m. April 4. Abiel Velazquez, 21, was ticketed for having a defective windshield and driving while his license was suspended. He told police the windshield just cracked while he was at work. Police said he showed Mexican identification cards and said he never had a license, but they found his Illinois license had been suspended.

Cicero man gets three tickets

A Cicero man received three traffic tickets after La Grange Park police stopped his 2000 Lincoln Town Car that they said had a defective license plate light while going south in the 1000 block of Beach Avenue at about 1:05 a.m. April 2. Mariando Hampton, 24, was ticketed for having a defective plate light, no insurance and driving while his license is suspended.

Berwyn women’s cars collide

Cars driven by two Berwyn woman collided at about 6:20 a.m. April 5 at Burlington Avenue and LaGrange Road, said La Grange police.  No damage was reported to the vehicles and no tickets were issued.

Hit-and-run in parking lot

A Brookfield man reported at about noon April 2 that the front driver’s side door and rear passenger side door of his 2008 Toyota were damaged while it was parked in a lot at 70 S. LaGrange Road.
