Driver Ticketed in 3 Communities After Hitting Mailboxes, Garbage Cans, Trees in La Grange

Here is a list of items taken from the La Grange/La Grange Park police blotters

A 23-year-old Bridgeview woman received tickets, including a violation for driving under the influence, in three communities, including La Grange, where police said her silver Toyota fled after hitting several mailboxes, garbage cans and trees on the 1100 block of south Stone Avenue at about 4:56 p.m. Sept. 6.

Ana Hepp was charged by La Grange police with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.  Witnesses described the driver as a woman, with dark hair, wearing wire-rimmed glasses and possibly drunk. The car was last seen northbound on Brainard Avenue about 47th Street.

She was arrested in Downers Grove, said La Grange police.

Facebook falsehoods

A La Grange woman told police Sept. 6 that her 16-year-old daughter is being cyberbulled by a 17-year-old boy from Countryside.

The girl’s Facebook account as hacked by the boy, an ex-boyfriend, and he was making comments on her page about her cheating on him, the mother said.

Police contacted the boy, who denied hacking the account.

People ‘following’ woman

A Bridgeview woman came into the La Grange police station at about 11:11 a.m. Sept. 7 to report that several people have been following her around. Police said she provided a long list of license plates to cars she said are following her wherever she goes.

Two vehicles scratched

La Grange Park police received a report Sept. 3 of two vehicles, parked on the 1500 block of east 31st Street, having been scratched with a sharp object sometime in the past week.

Wallet found

A Berwyn woman’s wallet was found Sept. 7 on the 0-100 block of Kensington Avenue and was to be picked up by the owner.

Driver gets 2 tickets

Alpha C. Baez, 37, of Hammond, Ind., was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and one other unidentified traffic violation when stopped by La Grange police on the 700 block of south La Grange Road at about 11:36 p.m. Sept. 6.

Branch down

A resident of the 900 block of south Catherine Avenue reported at about 12:16 p.m. Sept. 7 that a tree branches was down on wires in her back yard. She was not sure which wires they were. ComEd was notified.
