Driver Arrested Twice in Two Days: La Grange Park Police Blotter

La Grange Park police reports, Sept. 15-30.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 25

DUI Charge on La Grange Road

Aaron Malave, 38, of 5631 Kimball Pl., Oak Lawn, was stopped on the 1400 block of La Grange Road at 11:49 p.m. after police said he was swerving and driving erratically. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after failing sobriety tests administered by the arresting officer and refusing chemical testing. The defendant was also charged with speeding, improper lane usage and having no proof of insurance.

Driving Charges on Top Of…

Mario A. Romero-Hernandez, 29, of 1413 S. 48th Court, Cicero (same as below) was stopped on the 1200 block of Barnsdale Road at 6:14 a.m. for driving without a front registration plate and was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, police said.

… The Charges from Two Days Earlier

Mario A. Romero-Hernandez, 29, of 1413 S. 48th Court, Cicero, (same as above) was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, driving without a valid license and reckless driving, as well as on an outstanding DUI warrant from Bellwood, after being stopped at the corner of 31st Street and Robinhood Lane around 6:25 a.m., police said. The charges referred to a hit-and-run accident that occurred on the 1100 block of Barnsdale Road at around 6:08 a.m. The police report states that the defendant also attempted to elude the driver of the other car involved in the crash by driving across lawns on the 500 block of Forest Preserve Drive.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 15

Warrant from Oakbrook Terrace Served

Valisha D. Radford, 31, of 509 Barnsdale Rd. #A, La Grange Park, was approached by an officer in a car parked on the 500 block of Barnsdale Road at 4:52 a.m. and arrested on an outstanding warrant for domestic battery from Oakbrook Terrace, police said. Radford’s companion also had an outstanding arrest warrant, but it was not serviceable in Cook County. Radford was turned over to the Oakbrook Terrace Police Department.
