Downers Grove man charged with DUI, two other tickets
Kris Saucedo, 28, of Downers Grove was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and two other traffic offenses when La Grange Park police said they found him asleep and slumped over the wheel of his van that was stopped in traffic on LaGrange Road at Harding Avenue at about 4:15 a.m. March 25. He was ticketed for no proof of insurance and stopping in a prohibited area.
La Grange Park police reported seeing a southbound white 1998 Ford Ecoline van stopped in traffic lanes and the driver slumped over the steering wheel. An officer knocked on the car window but did not get a response, then opened the door, after which the driver—Saucedo—woke up. Saucedo had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, said he was at a Forest Park bar but denied having any drinks, police said. His speech was fair, but his responses were slow and his eyes glassy, police said.
