Crying, 'Stranded' Woman Gets $40 For Gas Money From Man At Amoco Station

Here is a list of items taken from the La Grange police blotter.

A man called La Grange police Sept. 3 when he later became suspicious of a woman he gave $40 to at the Amoco station, 100 N. LaGrange Road, when she was crying and said she was stranded and needed gas money at about 6:41 p.m.

The man told police he then saw the female standing at LaGrange Road and Burlington Avenue, with a guy. He confronted her, but she replied she did not know the guy, but walked off with him.  The cash donor asked police to search the area,”so she doesn’t do this to anyone else,” but officers could not find her.

The woman was described as short, with bright blonde hair and wearing a purple shirt.
