Pickpocket Caught, Forced-Entry Attempt: La Grange Park Police Blotter

La Grange Park police reports, Oct. 14-23.

TUESDAY, OCT. 23

License Issues I

Melissa A. Duplessis, 33, of the 8400 block of 86th Avenue, Justice, was stopped at the corner of 31st Street and Brainard Avenue at 1:53 a.m. for lacking a rear registration light and charged with driving with a suspended license and no insurance, police said.

License Issues II

James R. Jackson, 57, of the 1400 block of Homestead Road was stopped at on the 1100 block of Homestead Road for an expired registration and charged with driving without a valid license and with no insurance, police said.

Licence Issues III

Tony D. Johnson, 23, of the 500 block of East End Avenue, Hillside, was stopped on the 1600 block of La Grange Road for having an expired registration and was charged with driving with a suspended license, police said.

Phone Gone from Gym

A resident reported that someone took his phone from his coat while he was working out at a gym on the 400 block of La Grange Road.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 17

License Issues IV

Franco Fait, 51, of the 1700 block of 31st Street, was stopped on the 600 block of 31st Street for driving with a single headlight and was charged with driving without a valid license, police said.

Forced-Entry Attempt

An unknown person tried to pry open a screen door on the 900 block of Community Drive sometime over the past two weeks. Entry was not made to the residence.

MONDAY, OCT. 15

Licence Issues V, Plus a Warrant

Charkina D. Robertson, 29, of the 0-100 block of Washington Avenue, La Grange, was stopped at the corner of 25th Avenue and Cermak Road (Broadview) for lack of a front license plate and was charged with driving with a suspended license and no insurance, police said. The defendant also had an outstanding warrant from the La Grange Police Department.

SUNDAY, OCT. 14

Caught Stealing

Police received a report that at approximately 4 p.m., a woman in a business on the 400 block of La Grange Road removed a wallet from the purse of another patron She put the wallet back after being confronted by another patron.
