Car Turns Upside Down After Collision in La Grange
Also in the police blotter, a vehicle suspected in hit-and-run does not get far.
A 54-year-old Western Springs woman refused transportation to a hospital after her car turned upside down after colliding with another vehicle at Sunset and Maple avenues at about 7:34 a.m. April 13.
The woman told La Grange police she was northbound on Sunset, stopped for a stop sign and entered the intersection, where she was hit by a westbound vehicle. Her 2010 Suburu Forester overturned and came to rest on its roof.
A 17-year-old La Grange Highlands girl, driving the other car, a 1998 Honda Civic, and her passenger refused treatment. No tickets were issued.

Hit-and-run reported
A hit-and-run accident was reported on the 700 block of south Madison Avenue at about 6:32 p.m. April 13. The car continued south and was found stopped on the 100 block of Acacia Drive, possibly because of vehicle problems, police said. A shift report did not indicate whether the driver was inside and ticketed.

Three drivers ticketed
Terry Mancuso, 39, of Indian Head Park was ticketed for driving while a license is suspended, operating an uninsured vehicle and disobeying a traffic control device when stopped by La Grange police on the 400 block of south Seventh Avenue at about 9:19 a.m. April 14.
Maria Ostinguia, 50, of Chicago was ticketed for no driver’s license and one other unidentified traffic violation during a traffic stop at Ogden and Catherine avenues at about 8:11 a.m. April 13.
A 22-year-old Stickney man, Jose Leonos, was ticketed for driving with a suspended or revoked license and two other unidentified violations when stopped by La Grange police at Ogden and Gilbert avenues at about 10:17 a.m. April 13.
