Car Turns Upside Down After Collision in La Grange

Also in the police blotter, a vehicle suspected in hit-and-run does not get far.

A 54-year-old Western Springs woman refused transportation to a hospital after her car turned upside down after colliding with another vehicle at Sunset and Maple avenues at about 7:34 a.m. April 13.

The woman told La Grange police she was northbound on Sunset, stopped for a stop sign and entered the intersection, where she was hit by a westbound vehicle. Her 2010 Suburu Forester overturned and came to rest on its roof.

A 17-year-old La Grange Highlands girl, driving the other car, a 1998 Honda Civic, and her passenger refused treatment. No tickets were issued.
