Car Knocks Down Woman, 75, at Gas Station
Woman not hurt, eventually reports incident two days later.
A 75-year-old La Grange Park woman was hit by a car and fell when she went to pay for gasoline in BP Amoco, 100 N. LaGrange Road, at about 8:15 a.m. Feb. 1.
The woman told La Grange police she had just finished filling up and walked north in the parking lot when another car came off a different pump and turned northwest into her. The woman fell and said the other driver got out of a light-colored sport-utility vehicle and helped her onto her feet. The two did not call police and decided to leave without exchanging information.
The woman who was hit did not sustain an injury, according to police. Two days later, she reported the incident to La Grange police, as Patch .
