Car Burgled for iPhone, Christmas Graffiti Spree: La Grange Park Police Blotter
La Grange Park police reports, Dec. 18-Jan. 2
TUESDAY, JAN. 1
Illegal Driver I
Juana Cervantes, 40, of Hodgkins, was stopped because police said she was speeding and driving with only one functioning headlight on the 600 block of La Grange Road at 1:45 a.m. She was charged with driving without a valid license and without proof of insurance.

Illegal Driver II
Alma C. Rodriguez, 30, of the 4600 block of South Sacramento Avenue, Chicago, was stopped because police said she had only one functioning headlight on the 1500 block of 31st Street at 6:09 a.m. She was charged with driving without a valid license.
Graffiti Spree
La Grange Park police stated that there have been “multiple acts of criminal defacement" (spray-painting of graffiti) throughout the village between Dec. 22 and Dec. 26. The defacement was probably done by juveniles, police said.

THURSDAY, DEC. 20
iPhone Taken from Car
An iPod was reportedly taken from an unlocked vehicle parked on the 300 block of Malden Avenue. The time and estimated value of the theft were not reported. (In this report, La Grange Park police also noted that they are in possession of some recovered Christmas decorations and would like to return them to the owners if possible.)
TUESDAY, DEC. 18
Illegal Driver III
Vonterro L. White, 37, of the 3900 block of West Congress Parkway, Chicago, was stopped for an expired registration on the 400 block of La Grange Road at 6:47 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license and without proof of insurance, police said.
Illegal Driver IV
Rodolfo Diaz, 19, of the 1500 block of Jay Avenue, Melrose Park, was stopped for driving without active headlights on the 1500 block of La Grange Road at 12:04 a.m. and charged with driving without a valid license, police said.
