Friday, Aug. 30

Truck Stolen

A 2001 freight liner truck was stolen from Alamo Truck Repair sometime over the past few days, police said. The truck was worth $15,000.

Bullet Holes at Sawyer Park

Bullet holes were found in equipment and garbage cans at Sawyer Park, police said. Garbage was also strewn across the ground. A special watch was put on the park.

BBs through Window?

Possible BB gun damage was reported on a window of a home in the 0-99 block of North Drexel Avenue, police said.

Money Stolen from Boutique

Money was taken from Frill Accessory Boutique sometime between 6:30 p.m. Aug. 29 and 10 a.m. on Aug. 30, police said.

Man Calls for Help

A woman in the 800 block of South La Grange Road said a male voice was calling out for help for about 30 minutes around 3:48 a.m., police said. Officers stayed in the area for a while but were unable to locate the source.

Possible Identity Theft

A man said his credit card had been used and his identity had possibly been stolen, police said.

Text Harassment

A man who lives in the 1000 block of South La Grange Road said he has been receiving harassing text messages, police said.

Hit and Run

A hit and run was reported near the intersection of Madison and Cossitt, police said.

Insurance Violation

Jose L. Campos-Rojo, 21, was arrested around 4:28 p.m. near the intersection of 47th and Kensington, police said. He was charged with suspended/non-insurance.

Car Vandalized

A car was vandalized while it was parked in the 500 block of West Hillgrove, police said.

Missing Change Purse

A change purse was lost or stolen from the 4700 block of South Gilbert Avenue, police said. The change purse was worth less than $500.

Wednesday, Aug. 28

Teens on Train Tracks

Two teens climbed on the overpass train tracks at Ogden and Burlington, police said. Officers spoke with the teens and recorded the incident.

Beagle Pees on Lawn, Ruins Flowers

A woman in the 1000 block of South Ashland Avenue told police a man allowed his unleashed beagle to urinate all over her front lawn and ruin her flowers. The man said he keeps the dog leashed at all times except when visiting the woman’s neighbor, who doesn’t mind the dog walking in his yard. The woman said it was “not her concern to worry about why the dog is off the leash and not on her property.”
