Brookfield Man Ticketed for DUI in La Grange
Hit-and-run accident witnessed in village parking garage.
A Brookfield man, David A. Ledesma, 31, was ticketed for driving under the influence of alcohol and one other unidentified traffic violation when he was stopped by La Grange police in the 800 block of south East Avenue at about 3:59 a.m. April 10.
Hit-and-run accident seen
A man told La Grange police he saw a maroon vehicle with two women inside strike a maroon, older Chevrolet in the parking garage, 80 S. Sixth Ave., at about 6:32 p.m. April 10 then flee. He gave police the license plate number of the other vehicle and an officer left a note on the vehicle that was hit for its owner to call police.

Three drivers each get trio of tickets
Catherine Preto, 49, of Bellwood was ticketed for driving while her license was suspended or revoked, no license plates and one other unidentified traffic violation during a traffic stop at Sawyer and Cossitt avenues by La Grange police at about 7:37 p.m. April 10.

Jose Gomez-Cortes of Hodgkins was ticketed for no driver’s license and two other unidentified traffic violations when his car was stopped by La Grange police at 48th Street and East Avenue at about 4:26 p.m. April 8.
Jesus Cavazas, 47, of Brookfield was ticketed for no driver’s license and two other unidentified traffic violations when La Grange police stopped his car at La Grange Road and Harris Avenue at about 10:29 a.m. April 9.
Possible reckless driver found
La Grange police found a car in the driveway of a home on the 700 block of Mason Drive at about 6:58 p.m. April 9 that Downers Grove police said may have been involved in reckless driving in their town. The vehicle had damage to the front passenger side. The driver’s parents contacted Downers Grove police.
No one hurt in crash
No injuries were reported from a traffic accident on eastbound Burlington Avenue at Ogden Avenue at about 3:27 p.m. April 8. No other information was available from police shift reports.
Hit-and-run accident reported
A man came to the La Grange police station at about 7:23 a.m. April 8 to report his car was hit the previous day at LaGrange Road and Ogden Avenue by a car that fled. He said there was no damage to his car.
Driver leaves after collision
Two cars collided at about 9:39 a.m. April 8 at LaGrange Road and Ogden Avenue but one driver left before police arrived. The remaining driver pulled into the Trader Joe’s but reported no damage to the car.
Woman gets two tickets
A 52-year-old Bellwood woman, Carolyn Thornton, was ticketed for driving while her license was suspended and one other unidentified traffic violation when La Grange police stopped her car at LaGrange Road and Maple Avenue at about 10:42 a.m. April 8.
