Brookfield Man Charged in Burglary of La Grange Home

La Grange police arrested a Brookfield man inside a home in the 200 block of Sawyer Avenue after a boy living there reported a possible break-in Aug. 24.
Brandon Brown, 21, 4632 Dubois Ave., was charged with burglary to a residence and two counts of criminal damage to property, for allegedly breaking a window and inner door.
A boy in the home said he heard a window being broken at about 7:10 a.m. and thought someone was breaking in. He fled to a friend's house to call police, police said.

Police said they found Brown in the home with property belonging to the owners. Police said they are investigating whether other items they found in Brown's car, parked in the alley behind the Sawyer home, are stolen.
