Broken Windshield, Out-of-Control Bystander Reported at Hospital

Here is a list of items taken from the La Grange police blotter.

A woman told La Grange police at about 5:13 p.m. June 21 that the windshield of her car was damaged, possibly by a rock, while parked in a lot at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital, 5101 Willow Springs Road.

A family member who was out of control in a waiting room at the emergency room of Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital, 5101 Willow Springs Road, at about 4:37 a.m. June 20 was sent home to Justice in a cab, La Grange police report.

Prescriptions number misused

A La Grange doctor’s office reported on June 20 of fraudulent use of its Drug Enforcement Administration number used for prescriptions. The investigation has been turned over to another agency, said one police investigator, declining to name the agency or whether it is state or federal.

La Grange police received a call at about 3:58 p.m. June 21 of someone urinating near the post office, 121 W. Hillgrove Ave., but an officer reported finding no one.

Alarm at church

The La Grange Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at First Congregational Church, 100 S. Sixth Ave., at about 8:37 p.m. June 21. 

Bike found

A black/silver, 20-inch BMX bicycle found at about 10:41 a.m. June 20 in the southeast corner of Waiola Park, 47th Street and Waiola Avenue, was turned over to La Grange police

Boy ignores lowered gates

A 16-year-old Stickney boy was warned and turned over to a parent after he was seen walking under a lowered railroad gate at Burlington Avenue and LaGrange Road at about 7:27 p.m. June 20.
