Blotter: Harassing Contractor, Youths in Crash and More

La Grange Man Harassed by Former Contractor

A La Grange man told police Nov 28 that he is being harassed by a former contractor, with whom he is in a lawsuit. The man said the contractor sent him and his wife an inappropriate email with a link to sexual content. He said he just wanted to make the incident a matter of record.

A 16-year-old Indian Head Park boy was ticketed for failure to yield while turning left and graduated driver-unlawful number of passengers after the front right of the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer he was driving collided at about 4:03 p.m. Nov. 22 at Ogden and Brainard avenues with the left front of a Ford driven by a 42-year-old Western Springs woman. The boy had four other passengers, a boy and three girls ages 15 and 16, in his car but none were reported injured. Three passengers in the other vehicle also were not injured.

A 21-year-old La Grange Park woman, Kaitlyn R. Bedford, came Nov. 22 to the La Grange Park police station after a police officer called and said she had an active warrant for failure to appear in court on a disorderly conduct charge in the village. She was released on $500 bail and has a Dec. 14 court date.

Water Main Breaks

The La Grange Public Works Department responded to a call at about 4:38 a.m. Nov. 30 of a large water main break at 47th Street and Ninth Avenue.
