Pellet Breaks Window
A La Grange resident reported Jan. 6 that a car window had been shattered and the window repair service believes it was hit by a BB gun pellet.

A Western Springs resident reported on Jan. 6 of being in an altercation with a bicyclist at Wolf Road and Hillgrove Avenue. The man was wearing black clothing, rode a blue bike and said he was a police officer and, “can ride his bicycle wherever he wants.”

The La Grange Fire Department provided mutual aid for a report of a chimney fire at a home on the 300 block of north Catherine Avenue, in La Grange Park at about 12:18 p.m. Jan,. 8.
Suspicious Ring
A resident of an apartment on the 100 block of east Cossitt Avenue reported someone rang the doorbell at about 5:14 p.m. Jan. 8 and announced, “Police, open up.”
Bikes Found
A red and gray Giant Boulder mountain bike was found in Spring Park and turned over to La Grange police at about 1:20 p.m. Jan. 8.
A red, 26-inch men’s Diamondback bicycle that had been chained for several weeks at the fountain of Village Hall, 53 S. LaGrange Road, was picked up Jan. 6 by La Grange police.
