Blotter: La Grange Police Say Prank Involved Photo of Kelli O'Laughlin's Accused Killer

Here's an item from Patch's reporting on the La Grange Police blotter.

La Grange police are describing a newspaper photo of accused killer John L. Wilson left in a girl’s winter hat on a porch Nov. 12 on the 200 block of south Waiola Avenue as a prank.

The photo of John L. Wilson Jr., 38, of Chicago, when she interrupted a home burglary had been clipped out of a newspaper, police said.

The resident told police that her daughter was at home with a friend when someone rang the doorbell at about 9:15 p.m. They did not answer the bell, but when the mother came home, she found a hat on the porch with a photo of Wilson attached with gum.
