Blotter: Kid Complaints, 5-year-old Found and More

The following items are from Patch's reporting on the La Grange and La Grange Park police blotters.

Kid Complaints

Five youths who were being loud in an alley behind the 300 block of Sixth Avenue at about 11:40 p.m. May 26 were warned by police and said they would leave.

Three boys under age 17 were given tickets for violating a local ordinance after La Grange police responded to a complaint of a large crowd and music playing at about 9:24 p.m. May 26 on the top deck of the village parking garage, 80 S. Sixth Avenue.

Boys ages 6 to 8 were running in front of cars on the 200 block of south Catherine Avenue at about 9:56 p.m. May 26. When a police officer warned them, they replied that someone in a light-colored sport-utility vehicle threw an egg at them and asked where Elm Park is. Police went to Elm Park, Elm and Brainard avenues, and found 20 youths there. They sent them on their way.  

Drunk Men Seen

Three intoxicated men were reported walking south on the 900 block of south Spring Avenue at about 7:25 a.m. May 26. Police found the men—ages 23, 22 and 21—at 52nd Street. One was fit to drive; the other two said they would walk home.

Lost 5-year-old Found

A resident of the 300 block of south Spring Avenue found a 5-year-old boy who was wearing a blue Bears jersey, called La Grange police at about 3:10 p.m. May 25 and he was reunited with his parents from Western Springs.

Dog Found

Someone called La Grange police at about 12:52 p.m. May 25 to say a woman living in an apartment on the 200 block of east Plainfield Road had found a dog and might be abusing it. The yellow and white dog looked like a fox and had a pink collar. La Grange police traced the dog, named Rachel, through an implanted microchip to an Elk Grove man, but that village’s police said he is dead. The dog was taken to Hinsdale Animal Hospital.

Trespassers Seen at Field Club

Several people were seen in the parking lot of The Field Club, 1301 W. 47th St., at about 1:47 a.m. May 25. Police said the area was secure and no one was in the pool area.
